Congregations or organizations can learn how to join Justice Knox by having their pastor, priest, rabbi, imam, leader or member get in touch with our Lead Organizer, Marjorie Thigpen-Carter. This work is relational, and one of our organizers will want to meet with your leader 1:1 to get to know your congregation and to explain the Justice Knox process. Individuals get involved through the justice networks in their congregations. If you are not affiliated with a congregation, contact us anyway! Many member congregations will gladly have you join their justice network without being a member of the congregation. Please reach out to Marjorie via telephone or email at (865) 382 6622 or [email protected]
Established in 2016, Justice Knox provides congregations from diverse faith, economic, and racial backgrounds from across Knox County a vehicle to act together in response to the scriptural mandate to “do justice.” We are politically non-partisan. We are inspired by the work of 30 broad-based justice ministry organizations in other cities.
