Join 2026+ people at our 2026 Nehemiah Action Assembly-- Monday, April 13
Every spring Justice Knox organizes the largest public meeting in the community. The goal of this assembly is to get public officials to commit to concrete actions to solve some of the worst problems plaguing Knox County. On April 8, 2025, 1566 Justice Knox leaders gathered at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium with Mayor Jacobs and Mayor Kincannon, as well as the Director of the Office of Housing Stability and several members of city council and county commission. That night we secured commitments from both Mayors to provide at least $300,000 for eviction prevention services in the coming year and to work with us and other leaders to make a long-term plan for continued eviction prevention in our community. Mayor Jacobs also made commitments to develop housing for veterans moving out of homelessness with an ultimate goal of getting to functional zero. Mayor Kincannon committed to further discussion with Justice Knox leaders and micro-transit experts to explore possibilities for bringing this needed service, that can fill transportation gaps for our neighbors, to Knoxville. In 2026, we'll pack the auditorium with at least 2026 people to bring more justice to our community. Join us!!!
