Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly.

All congregations and organizations with a desire to do justice within the Knoxville community are welcome.

Vision:  “A just, compassionate, and thriving community for all.”

Mission:  “To organize diverse people to build and use their people power to solve community problems.”

Justice Knox organizes grassroots leaders to effectively solve community problems.

We engage in listening, research, direct action and follow up to solve problems at their roots.  We take on problems like the affordable housing crisis, needs in our mental health care system, problems facing our schools, inadequate public transportation and community gun violence.

Stay tuned for our 2025 Nehemiah Action Assembly Date!

Every spring Justice Knox organizes the largest public meeting in the community. The goal of this assembly is to get public officials to commit to concrete actions to solve some of the worst problems plaguing Knox County. On April 9 of this year, 1177 Justice Knox leaders gathered at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium with Mayor Jacobs, Mayor Kincannon, Director of the Office of Housing Stability and School Board Members Butler, Bike and Watson. That night we secured commitments from both Mayors to set aggressive goals to end homelessness in our community and from school board members around accountability for tracking student outcomes .
