360 individuals participated in Justice Knox’s recent Annual Assembly (meeting of network members). After house meeting reports and congregational caucuses, network members voted to take on the problem of violence in our community. We also welcomed 5 new member congregations (Church Street United Methodist Church, Erin Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church Knoxville, Heska Amuna Synagogue, Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church). We presented Public Defender Eric Lutton with a certificate of partnership for following through on his commitment to our mental health campaign, which has yielded great results. We then elected new officers and recognized outgoing president Elizabeth Johnson and treasurer Joe Haas.
